About the Project:
Evansdale Crossing is 5 story, 103,668 SF mixed-use buildng that is located on the West Virginia University Campus. The project, when finished, will become a new student-centered space near the campus Engineering PRT Station, where a connecting brige has been built. It will house new study spaces, 4 classrooms, food services, Barnes & Noble, Student Services Space (Registar, Student Accounts, and Financial Ad), College of Media Innovation Center, and other student and faculty amenities.
The building is a steel structured building, with a composite floor design. On the 5th floor there is roof deck that provides a view around the campus. A key feature of the building called "The Circulator" is where the elevators and stairwells are mainly located, and as well as the bridge connecting this building with the Engineering PRT Station.

CPEP Site Purpose:
The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web-based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year-long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, it addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engnieering. For an explanation of this capstone design course and its requirements click here.
About AE Senior Thesis:
AE Senior Thesis is a year-long course where a student investigates an existing building, and then proposes and then re-designs based on their option of study. The main idea is to fully demonstrate the material that the student has learned in his/her time in Penn State's Architectural Engineering Department.
Throughout the Fall 2015 Semester, I will analyze the building's existing conditions. I will then develop a proprosal for the redesign of this building at the end. In the Spring 2016 Semester using the proposal I have made as a guide, I will perform the redesign of the building structure. During the next school year, come back to this site to view the progress. Thank You!
